What it helps you do

What This Program
Helps You Do

Becoming a financial coach involves more than understanding money.

You also need to know how to guide a client conversation, structure a coaching relationship, use appropriate tools, establish expectations, organize your services, and develop the business behind the coaching.

Rockstone brings these areas together.

Through the program, you will learn how to:

  • Strengthen your understanding of essential personal finance topics
  • Guide meaningful financial conversations with clients
  • Structure coaching sessions with purpose
  • Ask thoughtful questions that encourage reflection and action
  • Use worksheets and coaching tools to support client progress
  • Establish a consistent client process
  • Think through your services, pricing, and business model
  • Develop a business and marketing foundation for your practice

The goal is not simply to know more about personal finance. It is to learn how to apply that knowledge within a structured coaching process while developing the business practices needed to serve clients professionally.

The curriculum

The Three Pillars
of the Program

The Rockstone Financial Coach Training and Certification Program is built around three areas that work together to prepare you for financial coaching.

1

Personal Finance Education

A financial coach needs a strong working knowledge of the financial topics clients commonly face.

You will strengthen your understanding of areas such as budgeting, saving, debt, credit, insurance, and major financial decisions.

The focus is practical application rather than complicated financial theory. You will learn the concepts while also considering how to explain them clearly and help clients make informed decisions.

2

The Coaching Process

Knowing financial information is different from knowing how to coach someone through a financial challenge or decision.

You will learn how to guide the coaching relationship from the initial conversation through ongoing sessions and progress.

This includes structuring sessions, asking effective questions, identifying goals, encouraging accountability, guiding decision-making, and helping clients translate financial knowledge into action.

3

Business Development

Financial coaching is also a business.

You will begin developing the structure behind your practice, including your services, pricing, client process, business tools, positioning, and marketing.

The program helps you think deliberately about how your coaching business will operate and how you will present your services to the people you want to serve.

To take that business preparation further, Rockstone also includes two comprehensive bonus resources, the Business Plan Toolkit and Marketing Plan Toolkit. These Toolkits allow you to work through important business and marketing decisions for your own financial coaching practice.

BONUS / 01

Business Plan Toolkit

Turn your idea for a coaching business into a more deliberate business plan.

The Business Plan Toolkit guides you through important decisions involved in shaping your financial coaching business.

Rather than simply telling you to write a business plan, the toolkit helps you work through the individual pieces that give your business direction.

You will examine areas such as:

  • Your niche and the clients you want to serve
  • The services you plan to offer
  • Potential revenue streams
  • Business goals
  • Your value proposition
  • How you want your business to operate
  • The direction you want the business to take

The purpose is to help you move from having an idea for a financial coaching business to making thoughtful decisions about what that business will actually look like.

By completing the toolkit, you will have a stronger framework for developing a business that reflects both the clients you want to serve and the way you want to work.

BONUS / 02

Marketing Plan Toolkit

Develop a clearer strategy for reaching the people your coaching business is designed to serve.

Having a valuable coaching service is not enough. Prospective clients also need to understand who you help, what you offer, and why your services may be relevant to them.

The Marketing Plan Toolkit helps you think strategically about how your financial coaching business will enter the market and communicate its value.

You will work through areas such as:

  • Your target market
  • Client needs and characteristics
  • Positioning
  • Core messaging
  • Marketing channels
  • Promotional strategies
  • Ways to reach and engage prospective clients

Rather than approaching marketing as a collection of random activities, the toolkit helps you create a more intentional plan for building awareness around your coaching services.
